Joyful

For the past week or so,
I’ve been working on an installation of calligraphy
to go in the Nano Gallery of the Honolulu Museum of Art School.

The Nano Gallery is a converted phone booth perfect for smaller, well…
nano installations. For the past couple of years I’ve been working a lot
with the ideas around Appreciative Inquiry, so this installation is called “Words Create Worlds”.

The size of the gallery makes it perfect for calligraphy practice
and a chance to write larger without being too overwhelming. As the installation progresses,
I’ll post more photos of the process.

These images are done on paper and will be made into
3-D sculptures by my friend Marci Franklin.
They’ll be placed in the gallery along with my calligraphy.
